Frequently Asked Questions

Zaroosta is proudly based in Marrakech in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the medina. Our office/home is a 2 min walk from the famous square Rhaba Kadima, aka Spice Market.

We can certainly help you with shopping. Please contact us 2 weeks before your trip and let us know what is your goal of your shopping. We will then create a tailor-made program together with you.

The best time to visit Marrakech is between April and June and October and November. The other months, Marrakech can also be visited, but it is then either very hot or rainy.

Zaroosta sells only handmade products made from natural materials. We recycle most of our waste and packing material.

That’s nice to hear and it’s very simple. You just need to sign up for our whole sale section. We will then contact you to schedule an introductory video call. Once that is done, you are free to place your wholesale order.

Yes, we can help you source products for your shop, interior design project or otherwise. Feel free to contact us and we will schedule a video conversation to put your wishes on paper as well as possible. And then sourcing can begin.

Yes certainly! In the years that we have been active, we have built up extensive relationships with artisan in various disciplines. Such as in leather, copper & brass, palm, sea grass, carpet, wood, ceramics and etc.

Depending on your wishes, we will work together with you to guide the production process from drawing to finished product and we can take care of the logistics to your location.

The goal of Zaroosta has always been to get as many orders as possible so that we can distribute them to the women in the outer villages and women who work at home. Women in dire need. We currently work with women who make our bahrma basket, palm lamps and fabric cushions and pouffes. So yes, we really work with the women.

Unfortunately Zaroosta does not have a shop yet. We mainly only sell via the internet. We can, however, organize viewings for visiting customers. If you are interested, please feel free to contact us.

Zaroosta ships internationally and we regularly ship to the following countries, namely; Curaçao, Japan, Protugal, UK, Spain The Netherlands, UK & Ukraine.

Zaroosta uses Chronopost to ship small package at 30Kg. For shipping in Europe we rely on Chronopost Economique and for International EMS. For containers, we have derived various shippers we work with depending the destination.

We use the following payment methods; Paypal, Bank transfer and Western Union. Our experience has shown that Western Union works most quickly and efficiently.

After we have received the payment, we take 2 weeks to complete your order. Then it depends on the destination what the delivery time will be.

We know from experience that for Europe it is 5 to 7 days, Japan 7 to 10 days and for other countries we usually calculate at the time of shipping.

Some countries are more challenging than others, but not impossible.

Rather not! Many of the artisans we work with, just work from home and do not like their pictures taken or from their environment. Given the relationship that we have built up over the years we may take some photo’s and sometimes we do that because we are trusted. And they know where and why their photos will be used.

In the past, we have had some bad experiences with customers who share photos of women who prefer not to be seen on the internet. So we advise against to protecting the artisan privacy.

These are the most important holidays that you have to take into account when ordering. Christmas and New Year’s week, Eid al-Fitr, Ramadam month, Eid al-Adha & Independence Day of Morocco.

The exact days of these holidays are very easy to find with a Google search and of course we will also advise on this.
